Daeduck Employees Union (DEU) is a duly registered union of Daeduck Philippines Incorporated (DDPI) operating inside the Cavite Economic Zone (CEZ) in Rosario, Cavite.

DEU was established in 2009 under the charter of the Federation of Union of Rizal-Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (FUR-TUCP). However, the first failed attempt of union formation in the company was in 2005 where workers promoted as supervisors.

After DEU was formed, negotiations for a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) ensued that was later ratified and approved.

In June 2010, the union membership decided to secure an independent registration from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). The action was followed by the decision of the membership to disaffiliate from FUR-TUCP in February 2011.

 After the said actions of the union, the management started harassing union officers. The management terminated without basis one of the Board Members; put in isolation the treasurer of the union; and re-assigned active officers to a different process.

In September 2011, DDPI terminated 9 DEU officers along with its president due to the FURs request letter to the management.

We are now at the helm of preparing our strike against DDPI management due to its gross violation of the provisions of the CBA and unfair labor practice.
